Week of March 16, 2015

Here's what we are learning for the week:

Math:

I can recognize numbers to 120. 
I can use objects and pictures to represent numbers to 120.
I can represent numbers to 120 with expanded form.   

Reading / Social Studies:

I can learn about how to be a good citizen. 
I can learn about the voting process in our country. 
I can participate in a pretend election in our classroom. 

Writing:

I can choose a topic for research. 
I can read and listen to find facts and details for my research. 
I can put information into my own words. 

Spelling:  

 I can spell words with -ate and -ale.

No Bonus this week

When your child practices writing their spelling words at home, please make sure they are using capital letters correctly.  The only word that needs a capital letter is the word I.  All others should be written with lowercase letters without a capital letter added where it doesn't belong.

Science:

I can research an animal native to Texas.
