Week of November 3, 2014

Math:
I can look for number patterns and connections between addends and sums when adding nine.
I can learn my addition facts for nine.
I can create my own math problem with a sum of a number plus nine.


Reading / Social Studies:
I can identify the features of nonfiction texts.
I can learn about things in the past and how certain things have changed over time, such as the telephone.

Writing:
I can draft a personal narrative that includes small moments from my life.
I can write about the beginning, middle, and end of that small moment for my narrative.
I can identify adjectives as describing words.

Spelling: 
Our spelling list has increased to ten words!
I can spell mad, dad, glad, bat, sat, flat, was, get, do all.   Test on Friday!

Science:
I can predict and identify and discuss how different forms of energy such as light, heat, and sound are important to everyday life.
